In 1954, the Franciscan Friars officially established what is now known as St. Francis Chapel & City Ministry Center. St. Francis Chapel is a place where a great many people seek an oasis of calm amid the world's relentless pace and stress. There are numerous daily Masses and weekly Novenas, as well as daily Confessions. The Chapel houses a beautiful Blessed Sacrament Chapel, a Chapel of Saints and the National Shrine of St. Anthony and St. Jude. St. Francis Chapel has as the core of its mission the nourishment and peace of the soul.

St. Francis Chapel also serves the community at large through a broad range of ministries and outreach programs, which are offered without reservation to all who come to us. These programs are supported by the many people who come to worship here, and by those who show their gratitude for our work through their contributions of time and financial resources.
